Book Review Of No Right Turn

No right turn by: Terry Trueman

The book no right turn is like an action thriller. This book is about a boy named jordan and he came home one day and the only person who was home at the time was his dad. After 10 minutes had gone by jordan's dad called him into his office and his dad said "i'm sorry" Jordan left the room and seconds later he heard a gunshot he ran back into the office and saw his dad laying there with a gun in his hand and blood everywhere. A major conflict in this book is 2 years after the death of jordan's dad his mom started dating again. What I loved about this book is its kinda of a mystery it will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time.  What I didn't really like about this book was the chapters where a little to short. This book I would recommend to anyone who likes mysteries. The length of this book was just right it wasn't to short or to long. 

Elizabethan Sports

1. Queen elizabeth loved to hunt.

2. Most of the sports of the Elizabethan era were carried over from the medieval period.

3. one of the most popular games back in the Elizabethan era was jousting.

4. Games were an important back then.

5. Hunting was a favorite pastime of high society.

The games back then were way different from today. Now a days we don't joust for fun or anything like that. The hunting back then is way different then it is today from they style of hunting from what they use to hunt.

reading

Since I have  been in high school I have read a lot of pretty good books. Before I became a freshman I wasn't really a reader. My habits on reading really haven't changed that much like when I'm in class I will read but if I'm outside of school I wont really read. Then benefits of being able to read in class are; you get to have like 15 minutes of silence, you get to read whatever book you want, you get to read any type of book. I don't really know if I will read more or less books I might if I ever get bored.

My high school experience

So far my experience in high school has been really good it is a lot better then I thought it would be. I was kinda scared when I walked in and saw so many upper class man in the halls. It is so different from middle school because in high school you have 4 different classes; Freshman, sophomore, junior, senior and in middle school you only have 2 different grades 7th and 8th in high school you have a lot more freedom then you do in middle school. I am very happy that my freshman year i high school is going so well. I thought it was cool that in any of you classes you can have freshman, sophomore, juniors and maybe seniors in any of your classes.

Shooting In Arizona

On January 8th 2011 A man named Jared Lee Loughner was involved in the shooting in Tucson, Arizona. Loughner killed six people and only wounded 13 people. loughner killed a 9 year old girl outside a supermarket. There were up to 150 witnesses several of them held to shooter down until the police showed up to the crime. Lee Loughner who is likely evaluated by both defense and government psychiatrists who will find him to be ill. The Jury has to get as much evidence for this case because the case may not get the death penalty.



I think this man should get the death penalty because he killed six people and he killed a 9 year old girl both defenses are thinking that he is mentally ill. It shouldn't matter he still killed six people and wounded 13. One of the 13 people wounded was Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. Even if this man turns out to be mentally ill He still did the crime so now he needs to face the consequences.

Book Review: american born chinese

The book american born chinese Is a graphic novel  It  is by Gene Luen Yang it is a very good book it is full of humor It is set up like a comic book and  every few pages it would change into a different comic but in the end of of the comics come together and form one story. In some parts it has a little bit of adult humor but it really is a good book for kids. I think this book is for everyone, the length of the book was good it wasn't too short or too long. The book american born chinese is a different type of book only because it is set up like a comic.

My opinion on the death penalty

My opinion on the death penalty is in some cases they should use it but in some others not so much. Like in this case Walter Sorto Alexander he kidnapped two hispanic females sexually assaulted them and the he shot them in the face. But if you only robbed a store i don't think you should get the death penalty. Clifton Williams in his case he Entered the house of a 93 year old lady he stabbed her, Strangled her and then he burned her body so he should get the death penalty. In the state of maine i don't really think that the death penalty should be legal because its not that big of a state unlike other states.
